It is with deep regret that we have to announce that Marjan Kroflič died at the age of 75 after severe illness on November 6, 2012, in Slovenia. The funeral was held on Ljubljana's cemetery Žale on 14th of November.

Mauritania ratified the Convention and its Optional Protocol on 3 April 2012.

Bulgaria ratified the Convention on 22 March 2012.

Mile Stojkoski is a person with physical disability who runs a marathon in his wheelchair 3500 km long through 15 countries in Europe finishing at the olympic stadium gates in London. His tour began on March 15th in Macedonia and lasts till the Olympic Games official start in London on July 27th 2012.

An international conference with the title "The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - Implementation and Development" was held in Madrid on 20-21 October 2011. The Conference took place on the premises of the Foundation for People with Spinal Cord Injury (Aspaym Madrid). This two-day program was organized by Predif (National Representative Platform of Physically Disabled Persons) and FIMITIC. There were several people present from15 countries.

FIMITIC Delegates' Conference was held in Madrid on 20 October. The day was very busy with full of events. It started with a short Board meeting to the Board members then the Delegates' conference was held until one o' clock and after that the International conference on the UN convention began.
