The National Association for Persons with Neuromotor Disabilities from Romania, AHNR – Asociatia Handicapatilor Neuromotori din Romania, developed its activities both at the national and local level.
Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20, 2010 the Annual General Assembly of AHNR has been hold in Arad.
Four years after the death of Monica Antoci - the founder and the president of AHNR – the relay was taken by PhD. Ion Adrian Mihalcea. Mr. Ion Adrian Mihalcea was unanimously elected as the new president of AHNR for the next four years.
Romania / Arad, December 2, 2005 - The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, event proclaimed by the United Nations in 1992 and celebrated every year on the 3rd of December, will be marked on national level in Romania too within a national campaign of the civil society. "Take My Spot, Bear My Lot!" is the name of the campaign developed by 7 nongovernmental organizations that invite Romanian able-bodied citizens to understand the obstacles their fellow citizens with disabilities have to face when they try to live a decent life.

The second edition of the Civil Society Gala, a project of Millenium Communications, is the widest event in Romania speaking about values: civic spirit, social activism, etc.
Organizer of these edition was the Ethos Association of Communication. The principal jury of the Gala consisted of outsatnding personalities of the civil society like: Dan Manoleli, Mihai Oroveanu, Cristian Pârvulescu, Anca Harasim, Alin Teodorescu, Marian Preda, Alexandru Lazescu ºi Radu Dop.
Thessalonica, 1-3 March 2003 - As part of the European Year of People with Disabilities 2003, The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the European Disability Forum (EDF) organized the Joint European Conference on "Education and life-long learning" in the period between 1-3 March 2003 in Salonica (Greece).
