Nigel Brander elected President

Bonn, October 10, 2005 - Nigel Brander, Ireland, is elected President of the Executive Board of FIMITIC on the occasion of the FIMITIC Delegates´ Conference in Nottwil (near Lucerne), Switzerland, on October 8, 2005.

Nigel Brander is the National Chairman of People with Disabilities in Ireland (PwDI), was actively involved in the Irish Disability Legislation Consultation Group negotiating the new Irish Disabilities Act and is part of the Irish Governmental delegation to the United Nations Ad Hoc Committee on a Comprehensive and Integral International Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities.The following were also elected to the FIMITIC Executive Board:

  • Dr. Csaba Chikan - Vice - President (Hungary)
  • Dr. Klaus Voget - Vice - President (Austria)
  • Marija-Lidija Stiglic - Secretary General (Germany)
  • Walter Kälin - Treasurer (Switzerland)
